Just in case you were wondering.
Or maybe not, maybe I’m just making stuff up.
But it could be a result of The Toxins that the “Kids” aren’t filtering out.

Hi,
Thanks for running a great blog – my wife and I both enjoyed catching up and reading about your journey and your current situation.
I am 47 and hail from Seattle. IgA nephropathy began doing its dirty work in my kidneys sometime around 1982, and now I’m down to about 23% – Current serum creatinine 3.1
Again, letting others in on both the emotional and the medical journey is really helpful for someone like me, who is (reluctantly) following behind in your footsteps. Nice to know some parts of the trail up ahead.
My thoughts and prayers are with you and your wife and of course your donor for your upcoming big day.

What a beautiful gift (if it all works out). Too bad we couldn’t meet the person on the receiving end.

AL’s Response = That would be cool to meet the donor / recipient on the other end for sure.

Oh Oh, I just had a sudden realization, I was about to receive a Beautiful Gift from your husband ( a new kidney ) but we entered the paired exchange so we could help out a hard to match person with Leon’s Type O kidney, , so does that make me a RE-GIFTER ? ? ?

at least my motives are pure !

Colleen, I am happy to see you are blogging too. Often people forget about the loved ones who are trying to be a support system, but who themselves need support. I don’t claim to know what you or Al or Dane are going through, but I do know that you are in our thoughts and you are going through this as a family. You have each other, and you also have all of us. So, if you or Al or Dane need to hear a friendly voice by all means give me a shout. At noon or 4 in the morning I’ll be there.
